To mark the end of the season and celebrate World Music Day, PLEK presents a full day of music built around discovery, dialogue and artistic exploration. Two concerts, two perspectives — and a fitting celebration of music in all its forms.
Morning Concert / 11AM-12PM
In the morning, clarinettist Anna Ferrandis and pianist Silvia Cernea bring together works by Clara Schumann, Elizabeth Luytens and Ida Gotkovsky, offering a journey through three distinctive musical voices.
About the musicians
Born in Bucharest, Silvia Cernea began her piano and music studies in Spain, in the city of Oviedo, at the Conservatorio Eduardo Martínez Torner. She continued her training in Barcelona, earning her Bachelor's degree with high distinction from the Conservatoire Supérieur du Liceu under the guidance of Stanislav Pochekin. Her passion, sensitivity, and artistic commitment have led her to perform and share her music on numerous stages and at festivals across Belgium, France, and Spain.
Born in Albaida, València (Spain), Anna Ferrandis Vila is a clarinettist and bass clarinettist based in Brussels. With a passion for chamber music and contemporary repertoire, she trained in Spain at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón, then in Belgium at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles, before developing a varied artistic career within chamber ensembles and orchestras. Winner of the second prize at the Fondation Mathilde E. Horlait-Dapsens chamber music competition in 2017, she performs at festivals such as Ars Musica, Musiq3, the Tournai Jazz Festival, and Artonov. She currently divides her time between performing and teaching.

Afternoon concert / 3PM-4PM
The afternoon turns to the cello with Pierre Fontenelle's Belgian Cello Encyclopedia project accompanied by Ninon Hannecart-Ségal at the piano, an ongoing exploration of Belgium’s rich and often overlooked cello repertoire.
About the musicians
Named ADAMI Classical Revelation 2021, Ninon Hannecart-Ségal represents a new generation of versatile keyboard artists. An artist in residence at the Fondation Royaumont, she boldly explores both piano and harpsichord repertoires. A graduate of the CNSM in Paris, she performs at major festivals and venues across Europe, China, and the United States. Her debut solo album, Long Story Short (Alpha), is set for release in 2026. Passionate about innovative formats, she collaborates notably with Pierre Fontenelle.
Pierre Fontenelle, Belgian-American cellist, pursues an international career as both soloist and chamber musician. Former principal cellist of the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège, he performs in major concert halls across Europe and Asia with prestigious orchestras. A champion of contemporary music, he received the FUGA Trophy 2024 and released the album ROOTS (2025). A professor at IMEP, he is also actively involved in cultural, social, and charitable projects in Namur, his adopted city.
