About the musicians

Based in Vienna, the duo was born from the common passion for chamber music both musicians share. Since their debut in the Viennese Musikverein, they have been performing in venues such as the Carnegie Hall and France Musique; bringing their music to Austria, Spain, France and the United States.

The highlight of their concerts is the interaction with the public, where the audience can easily get immersed into the journey proposed in the program. They have taken masterclasses and advice from renowned musicians such as Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Michaela Reingruber, Sibila Konstantinova, Leonhard Paul and Stefan Mendl.

Playing piano : Alexandre Madjar

Distinguished by his generous expressiveness during his concerts, pianist Alexandre MADJAR is active as a soloist, chamber musician and collaborative pianist with singers.

With him, the concert is not only a transmission of historical knowledge and human sensitivity; it is a moment of sharing, during which the public, the musician and the composer interact and create a unique memory.

Alexandre has performed notably at the Musikverein, the Auditorium de la Seine Musicale, the Kassui Hall, in the Dvorak Hall, the Opéra de Lyon, the Kaunas Philharmonia, the Théâtre de Sion and at the Bartok National Hall for an invitation to play a concerto with orchestra.

He is also a laureate of the Mécénat Musical Société Générale bank, the Royaumont Foundation, as well as international competitions of Maisons- Lafitte, Leopold Bellan and Parempuyre.

Playing Saxophone : Martín Castro Tubío

Martín Castro has played more than one hundred concerts in world-renowned venues located in more than 18 countries.

Some of his highlights include concerts with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Webern Symphony Orchester, the Volksoper Vienna, the National Symphonicorchestra from Cuba and the Orchestra del Lyceum de la Habana under the direction of Yutaka Sado, Jakub Hruša, Fabien Gabel, Vladimir Kiradijev, Jose A. Mendez and Lars Mlekusch. Some of these concerts as soloist.

Martín has also won more than 10 international competitions, including the prestigious 23. Osaka International Music Competition, and he has received grants from the Anny Felbermayer Fonds and the Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung.
